William Forsythe (*1949 in New York) is the world's leading choreographer of the present day. His name stands undisputedly for new discoveries in the field of performing arts, for the future of dance, for the breaking down of traditional barriers and for crossover with the fine arts. For this reason, the planned project of the Pinakothek der Moderne represents a completely new departure in exhibition format.
